Inter-American Development Bank Grants
If you are in your final year or have recently graduated from of the University of Oviedo in the specialities requested in each call, primarily those related to Social and Legal Sciences, and wish to acquire experience in the administration and operations of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), in Washington, and become acquainted with its policies, administrative regulations and procedures, we encourage you to consult the Conditions of the Call:
These paid internships, with a duration of six month, include:
- The services of the FUO, which is responsible for coordinating the call for these grants, performing all the necessary administrative and management procedures for the selection and placement of beneficiaries at the IDB's offices in Washington.
- Return airline ticket to and from Washington.
- Remuneration of €1,700 per month.
- Accident and health insurance in the USA.
The University of Oviedo Foundation is the body responsible for managing the IDB Internship Grants Programme, launched by the University of Oviedo in 2003. SabadellHerrero is the entity that finances the call through the Sabadell Bank Foundation. Early editions of the Programme were financed by the Caja de Ahorros de Asturias savings bank (Cajastur). Since its first edition, 48 people in all have benefitted from the programme, with more than 58% of them staying on there after finishing their internships.
